Head of Materials Chemistry, University of Cambridge; Fellow of: The Institute of Energy; The Institute of Materials, Mining and Metallurgy; and Trinity Hall.

Professor Kumar has published over 360 papers and 22 patents. And his research in energy materials, batteries, fuel cells and chemical sensors, has led to many licenses and industrial practices. Editor-in-Chief of the Institute of Materials, Mining and Metallurgy journal, “Mineral Processing & Extractive Metallurgy”. He is a Member of the S. Korea National Lithium Research Centre Advisory Board.
